Marcum Color Cameras

I just picked up a vs625sd color camera and am wondering how the colors should look. I haven’t had a chance to try it in the water yet, but when playing with it in the house, I’ve noticed that that colors are off. Anything gray looks kind of blue, yellow and greens are ok, but red objects are almost gray. Is that normal for these? I know that it will automatically switch to b/w in low light conditions but this was in a well lit room.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Have you adjusted the contrast and brightness?

    Hey Dan,

Shouldn’t matter if it’s in water or not.

Press the menu button and make sure the color/contrast/brightness are all in the center of the range.

If that’s not it, I’m not sure what else it could be. Might want to check the battery gauge to ensure it’s up to snuff, but I don’t ever recall the colors going out with a low battery.

Might be a call to MarCum.

All the settings are at 0, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Hopefully this picture shows up. If so, you can see that the green in the plastic bag shows up fine, but the red from the case is almost grey. I can take it to Marcum, but just trying to save the trip if this is what they are supposed to look like.

This photo was taken through the MarCum camera.

I think you have a date with the folks at MarCum.

Then good thing is, if you get there before 2 pm, you’ll be walking out in less than 1/2 hours…unless you’re like me…a yacker.

Think the mild winter has helped the turn around.Sent my 825 in a couple weeks ago.Had it back in a little over a week .UPS had it longer than they did.
