I’m looking for suggestions on a good reel repair shop near St. Paul. I have several Shimano baitcasters that need work, one revo and a Daiwa spinning reel with a bent handle.

The muskie expo is coming up next month. I know Abu Garcia will be there and will rebuild 1 reel for free. I think Shimano also does this. They pretty much take the reel apart and replace any worn parts. They even replaced the handle on my reel last year and put on a power handle.

abu did this?? prolly cuz they felt bad their products don’t hold up lol i wouldn’t expect2 get a reel cleaned from shimano there either…i stopped by the stand 2times and both times they said stop back later they were2 busy. i would say try wayzata bait and tackle or the best way2 do it is2 send them straight2 shimano. that’s what i’m going2 do in a few days.

Wayzata Bait & Tackle does some great work but last time I checked 3 weeks ago, they were already backed up about a month for turnaround time.

From a reccommendation from another IDO member, I brought a couple of reels over to Randy at Trail’s End in Blaine and had a great experience as well as fast turnaround time.

The way it sounds to me it’s your shimano reels that don’t hold up too well considering your gonna be sending them into be worked on in a few days hey Wies Besides Mitchell is the way to go these days, AVOCET 2 GOLD BABY
