    Question,

What would a used 2010 Evinrude ETEC 40hp tiller price be? I dont know how many hours are on the motor. I am curious because a guy has a boat for sale the entire boat package seems priced high. I’m wondering why? Thanks in advance.

Boat Trader has one listed at $5600.00, but that is from a dealer. What is the overall boat package and price?

My buddy bought a brand new etec last year and he told me the cost was approx. a 100 bucks per horse.

    That’s what I paid for my E-TEC.

The package is a 2001 Alumacraft 16 FT tiller with the 2010 40hp ETEC. The guy is asking $7000. I have seen similar boats with 4 stroke engines for a little less. I was to a boat show last year and a new 16 Ft tiller, 4 stroke, and trailer was going for $9,500. That it what I am using my price reference as. I was hoping that I could offer the guy $5,500 to $6,000 for his boat setup. If I couldn’t get it for that then I have to look for something else.

I think $6,500 would be a very fair price, if the rest of the boat is in good shape, and has some electronics on it.

In the pictures it looks like the boat will come with a trolling motor, but I couldn’t tell if it had any sonar/fish locator. The description is very brief where it is listed.
