I have been looking at new batteries for my 24V 65lb Minn Kota, not cheap at all. Any body tried these Optima batteries? Or any other high end batteries, as long as I might have to pay 90-130 at battery I need to look around. I now have two 720 amp Tournaments they have lasted me about 4 years and do not seem to hold a charge very well.

I suggest looking no farther than Wal*Mart. Their Marine Maxx batteries are almost impossible to beat. For sure at the same price.

I just looked tonight for my dad and the Maxx-29 (group 29) batteries are $64.95.

I used the less expensive Everstarts from Wal*Mart and am very pleased. Any others using the Wal*Mart batteries?

I’ve used Interstate batteries and the two times I’ve had to use the warrenty, I’ve been dissapointed. Well, they replaced them in the end, but it was a hassle.

Walmart is my choice for batteries now. I haven’t had to return one yet, but everyone I talk with says it’s not a problem. I havent had any experiance with the high end gell cells ect.

    Good Luck!

I get both my trolling motor batteries and starting battery from walmart. I have never had a problem with them.

I’m very satisfied with the Everstart Deep Cycle batteries from Wallmart. I have 4 full seasons on a set and no reason to believe they won’t hold up for another year.

I just picked up 2 Stowaway 27 series deep cycles at Sam’s Club for $49.00 each, seemed like a good deal. My last stowaway lasted 5 yrs.

I’m trying the Advanced Angler AGM batteries from Cabelas on my new Warrior 193. The run 119 for 27 series.
