What do you guys use for bottom bouncers? L shaped, pencil type. I still use the Northland tackle standard L shaped bottom bouncers. I am used to fishing with this style bouncer for pulling harnesses I feel like I have good control of where the bouncer is at with this type of bouncer. But when it comes time to put the rods away the rig is so bulky it doesn’t fit in the rod storage so it usually just sits on the floor. What do you guys use and is there s better way to store my rods like this.

I take the bouncers off the rods if I’m putting them into the rod lockers otherwise I leave them laying on the floor.
March 4, 2012 at 8:20 pm #1045955I take mine off as well using a duolock snap at the end of my line same as on trolling rods. Scheels has a cloth storage wrap that will hold lots of them and keep them sorted by size simplifying what to do with them when removed and keeping you efficient if you need to switch sized based on depth targeted, etc. Its likely that other places sell a similar type of system for bouncer storage.

March 4, 2012 at 8:58 pm #1045961I switched to all 3 way with bell sinkers or pencil weights if there are lots of snags. I have noticed better results with a less noticeable weight system. I use a snap on my sinker dropper and remove the weight dropper. Taking care of the storage issue.
Thats just my program and the way I have gone from L bouncers.March 4, 2012 at 9:34 pm #1045970Quote:

March 4, 2012 at 9:47 pm #1045972for storage on loose bottom bouncers I keep mine in a zippered bank bag by sorted by size,
if its still on the rod I fold down the arm and use the bigger plastic hair clips like in the picture to secure the bottom bouncer to the rod and keep them from getting tangled
March 5, 2012 at 10:43 pm #1046392I looked for then on their web page and was unable to find them, got any info to pass along as to where I could find them or see them Coot?
March 6, 2012 at 12:07 am #1046411I couldn’t find them anywhere on their site or facebook page. Try contacting Jeff Boutin through either of these 2 avenues. I don’t know if it will help, but tell Jeff that Dan McGuire told you about their bottom bouncers. If I happen to talk with Jeff, I will see if I can get any info.
March 6, 2012 at 12:17 am #1046415Denny,
I just read on their facebook page that they introduced their bottom bouncers at the Madison show, but don’t have them on their site. Coming soon!March 10, 2012 at 7:27 pm #1048076I talked with Jeff today & he texted me some pics of the bouncers , but I can’t get them to export. I asked him to e-mail them to me, so will post when I get them. He said they are working to get them on the website, but may be a couple weeks yet. In the meantime, he will be at the Eau Claire show next weekend with his bouncers.
March 10, 2012 at 10:23 pm #1048122Thanks Coot! Drope me a PM for a aleart so I don’t miss it.
Thanks !March 12, 2012 at 8:23 pm #1048607Here are the photos of the Team Walleye Bite bottom bouncers. Jeff said he should have more info on these on his site and facebook page in a few weeks.
March 14, 2012 at 12:24 pm #1049133Bottom Bouncer Sinker Mold – BTM-3-L is what I use, I run the safety pin style and straight wire and keep them in a baggie on the bottom of one of my rod lockers.
I use mostly the straight wire that’s about 8″ long and run the weight up towards the top, that gives a bit of warning before the weight hits bottom.
