Older Minkota/New HDS gen 2 Transducer ?

    Looking to upgrade my front bow mount unit. Can anyone tell me if a new Lowrance HDS Gen 2 unit will operate off an older (2006) Minkota Powerdrive that has a built-in transducer? This obviously, is a 2006 transducer that works with all older Lowrance units, but I’m just not sure if an upgraded Gen 2 unit will work off this older transducer (not talking about a side-view ducer here, down-scan only). Anyone know for sure?

    I would think if it works w a HDS gen1 the difference is more memory and speed of prosser on gen11.

    I don’t know if/that it works on the Gen 1 either.

    I have a Minnkota Genesis motor (2003) with the Universal Sonar. It works with the HDS gen 1. Don’t know if that helps at all, but I thought I would mention it.

    Call Minnkota’s 1-800 customer service line. They are excellent!
