    Hey Jolly Wade,

I’m going to date myself..(no jokes now) I sold Standard’s CB radio’s back in the 70’s (I said no jokes). Are they still as dependable as then? I know as a dealer (refer to above) the company really did a nice job of standing behind there product when need be. Just courious to know if it is still a good company.

    Thanks,

    Hi Brian,

Standard is still a great company. They stand behind their products as well as anyone is the business. So, maybe some things do stay the same…

Notice, no jokes. My 5th grade teacher would be proud of me right now.

I own 2 Standards. 100% satisfied customer. I like the fact that most if not all of their units are submersable, not just waterproof. Can’t go wrong buying a Standard.

That’s good to know! (not about your teacher) If I recall correctly, they had a two year warrenty when most other radio were 90 days. I think Johnson was the only one to have a 1 year warrenty.

The Standard Horizion 29…great CB radio. Just jumpered a couple wires in the Phase Lock Loop and you had a 40 + channel radio…before there were 40 channels.

It was funny, one of the CB mags, S9 said that phones would be replacing cb radios in cars by the year 2000. I don’t think they knew how right they were!

Now I wish I would have held off on my Uniden last year!
