Ultimate Lure Saver

Question for everyone… has anyone ever used an “Ultimate Lure Saver”? I wonder if they work… is it worth the risk of losing a real pig?

I was talking with a guide on the Croix last year that was using them. He thought that they were the “cat’s meow” for the river.
However, at that time he hadn’t caught anything “big”. He did say you really had to yank on them to have the hood pull off.

It will be interesting to hear if anyone hooked into a 20 pound carp with these things.

I have never used the product above before, but I purchased a product last year that has paid for itself many many times over. Here is a link to it at Basspro.com I see they have added chains since I have bought mine. These things are slick. I didn’t believe it at first either, but I just slip it on my line and dropped it down. It saved me 4 cranks and a couple jigs last year.

I know it is something totally different then the product you are reviewing but you do not have to worry about losing a strong fishing because your hooks let go?? Just an idea.
