i got Berkley triline ultrasensation mono filament and i am truly disappointed in it. we lost 8 lures from this line breaking so easily. its 6 pound test and it breaks on snags almost instantly. we snagedg a weed and as soon as we felt the snag we open the bail to release the pressure. we close the bail to put tension back on so it wouldn’t tangle. but we felt nothing as we reeled in and it was empty line. also we lost two lures from this line because we casted the lure out while the lure was on its way out the line snapped. from a common confused angler what line is a good line, brand, mono fireline at this point i don’t care so long as it is better than the line i got right now.

If the line was old?…I can see that happening.

I have Trilene Sensation 10# mono a baitcasting rod

and never had it snap, break off, tangle..

under minimal pressure, or anything indicating…CHEAP.

It just may have been a bad lot?

Had 8# Stren mono years ago, did a lot of breaking,

    line twists…just a junky spool.

Try Bagleys Silver Thread AN40 mono…see if that changes things, of course that’s if you like mono.

I started using Nanofi and after six days on the water no break offs and great casting distance on spin outfit with a weight less worm. Still working on the sensitivity.

Suffix High Vis Elite for mono lines.
As someone else already mentioned, 832 for superlines.

Are you happy with the strength? The only reason I ask, is Dad had some 10# Nanofil and he thought it was breaking rather easily. He tested it multiple times and it was breaking at around 6 lbs. He was disappointed and now I’m on the fence whether or not I should even try it.

Ultra Sensation is the newest version of the original Sensation… I think it is a decent line but, as Joe replied
Sufix Elite and Cortland Endurance mono have worked better for me in my Guiding and Fishing.

Suffix 832 is the real deal. Feels like a dream.
