You had help. My apologies to anyone looking for additional feedback on the Ecoboost. The chatter had seemed to stall on that topic so hopefully nobody minds too much.
GMC has a small displacement Duramax engineered for use in light trucks including Suburbans sitting on the shelf right now. The recession in 2008 killed the planned released but the rebound in truck sales, specifically sales of their HD series trucks have GM thinking about pulling the trigger.
Thanks for the interesting read and info James. That article was from 6/2010. Doesn’t sound like GM is moving forward with it in the very near future. Too bad.
That would be awesome. Unfortunately, if they ever roll that out, I would never be able to afford a new one, so I will be stuck waiting till a used one fits in my budget. I will keep my fingers crossed. Now, Toyota needs to shove a diesel in a Sequoia

Same here. My used 2005 Silverado with Duramax and Allison has been one of the best equipment purchases ever so I’ll be looking to stay with a Duramax powered truck when the current one retires in a couple years. I’m hoping the 4.5 Duramax comes out soon so I could at least entertain buying one used after a few years of use by the first owner.
