A coworker has a 60 hp Evinrude and he wants to remove the VRO system and mix his oil & gas. What is the proper way to eliminate this system and remove the oil tank without creating low oil warning alarms. Is there a website that covers this procedure?

I had mine done by a mechanic doing the work on the side and watched the whole process…
He followed the wire from the oil tank up to the the motor and disconnected it @ the block…Them removed the tank and plugged the nipple on the motor that came from the oil tank.
He then tested the overheat alarm by jumping the 2 wires for that alarm….
He also drained both the fuel lines and the carb and refilled with oiled gas….
It’s harder to describe than to do but I would still ask a mechanic.
    Hope this helps
