My Terrova won’t turn. Any ideas?

I have a new Terrova w/Ipilot that runs fine, except it won’t turn in either direction. Motor operates fine from remote and foot pedal. I tried disconnecting the pedal and use remote only, but same thing.

Any ideas?

Does the collar on the base turn but the power head does not? If so, you just need to rotate the power head until it drops into place engaging with the collar so that it can turn the power head. Hopefully its this easy!

Did you tighten down the collar that adjusts the depth of the trolling motor?

I understand what you guys are asking. Yes, the collar is tight and it is locked in. The unit doesn’t even attempt to turn.

new, under warranty, contact customer service. The number should be right on the paperwork you got with the motor

I just had a somewhat similar problem with mine. Used the remote a few times then it quit working. Does your foot pedal work to turn the unit? Mine did, turned out to be a bad remote from the factory.

I took mine to Alan at R&R Sports in Clinton. He tested it with a different remote and it worked fine, so they are replacing my remote under warranty. GREAT service from Alan and Rudy at R&R!
