I have always cleaned my own carbs, how much does having them cleaned cost?

No idea but I’ve been warned that 4 stroke carbs are very difficult to clean and the only way to really do it is with an ultrasonic cleaner. After looking at some videos on youtube, they really do an awesome job too and the whole process can take only 30 seconds.

they’re not any more difficult to clean than any other carb. I cleaned my kickers carb (7.5 honda) and it was no different then the carbs on my big motor. The only time I’ve had to clean carbs is after I purchase a motor and the previous owner didn’t winterize properly. Let us know how the ultrasonic cleaning goes, I’ve been interested in that for some of the old cars I work on as well.

Call some local machine shops. We have them at our shop but due to the nature of our work I can exactly mix medical parts with a carb.
