Yes I don’t even miss the pedal. I love the I-pilot and worked great out on Mille lacs the last 2 weekends

I haven’t seen or wanted to use my foot pedal since I started using the I-Pilot remote. The pedal is buried somewhere in my boat for emergencies like dropping the remote in the drink.

    Key word is ALL.

Answer is No – Pool 4 we use 2 rods per person. hard to operate the remote in this scenario.

I never could run two rods properly. I always marveled at you guys. Even on pool 4, 1 rod for me.

I have yet to use my foot pedal on the Terrova. It’s there in case the remote runs out of batteries or quits working.

Same here. Any guy that can jig two rods and work the remote has way more thumbs than I do. I will stick to the pedal for jigging and the remote for most everything else.

On Pool 4 when using 2 rods, I like to set the Terrova I Pilot on auto pilot and cruise and just use the foot pedal to correct left or right occasionally when I need to.

The foot pedal is still needed to fish 2 lines vertical jigging or using bottom bouncers. I think if I were casting from the deck all day I’d rather use the foot pedal as well.

I-pilot remote is suppose to float also. I have never used my foot control either.

It can but I like to carry the pedal as a backup. I’m on
    my third iPilot remote.

What my friend determined as well while we were bass fishing. The remote was a hindrance while working the rod and his feet were doing absolutely nothing but holding him up.

I have the Terrova, but don’t even have the pedal in my boat anymore. Don’t miss it a bit.

No. We use I-pilot mostly to anchor with . Great for doing minor adjustment which we do all the time since it is so easy . We do use the pedal for dragging jigs or pitching shorelines. For us it is easier when landing a fish to manuever the boat with foot pad .

Am I wrong, but from what I`ve read you cannot use the foot pedal with an I-Pilot and a Power drive..

On the V2 powerdrive you have either pedal or remote not both, Terrova you can use both and well worth the added expense…. I spend all my time castin and use both every time out, could’t live with just one or the other….

The dog would usually sit on the foot pedal, so we are digging the remote.

Yes, it does it all…kinda, but the foot pedal can do anything the I pilot does, but with you being the brains in that case, not the I pilot.
    Both have their uses.

If I’m jigging, casting or doing anything with both hands, I like the foot pedal, also if I need constat corrections the pedal is easier .. for me.

All depends on how you fish I guess.

While trolling, jigging, or pulling livebait, Yes I never even pull out the foot pedal. However, last week muskie fishing, the foot pedal was WAY better. Throwing lures all day is a 2 haded job and the foot pedal was the way to go for sure. The last thing you want to do is stop your retrieve to steer or adjust speed and have Mr. Big blow up on your lure.
