If you have the time lower amp will give it a better charge, also depends on how low the battery is drained. Best option is an automatic charger that will take care of it automatically. I am assuming it is a 2 or 10 charger I would start at 10 amp for a few hours and then switch it to 2 amp over night.

Get a 2/10 amp automatic charger.

If you want a quick(6-8 hrs) charge use 10 amp but if you want a long lasting deep charge use 2 amp and charge over night for best results.

In general the lower the amp(2) of charge the deeper the charge is and the longer the charge will last.

Buy an automatic charger, either onboard or not. They usually start at 5-20 amps and trickle down to 2 amps as the battery gets charged. Best way to get the full life and capacity of your batteries.

I use a minnkota onboard and love it.
