I’m in the market for an electric smoker and would appreciate info from anyone that has one. Looks like there are a few in the $150.00 to $200.00 range that would work for me. I had Outers years ago and want something better than that. Will use for fish, pheasant, turkey, sausage etc. not in real large quantity.

I had a Brinkman electric. Dumped it for a Brinkman gas.

The only reason was because there wasn’t a temp control on the electric. If it was getting too hot I would have to unplug it. Gas heat is controllable unless it’s windy.

I bought the cajun injector from fleet farm. Cost like $199. It has temp control and a timer. I have used it for a year now and love it. Never had a problem with it.

I have had a Masterbuilt for a year and a half and love it. It fits into your price range and has an electric time and temp gauge. Just load up the chips set the time and temp and walk away. Very easy clean up also.

i have the pk 100 from cabelas, its manufactured from ps seasonings in wi. its a great smoker, weighs 160#. i had a smaller one which was ok other than i needed more height to hang those 20″ sausages. uses saw dust as main feed with chips. it runs around $1300. will last me forever and very easy to clean. they have a 50# one also.

I have owned a Bradley BTIS1 since Nov 2010. I have smoked on it about every Sunday since I purchased it.
PROS: auto feed of the wood bisquettes, price (on sale at Cabela $250), Customer Service, smokes great.
CONS: Sliding temperature gauge having issues, door seal is coming loose, bisquette feeder is having issues, no digital temp or timer.
I called customer service today and they are sending me a new relay for the bisquette feeder and a new temperature slide gauge that I will need to replace. They were very friendly and helpful.
With that said I am thinking about my next one. and I would recommend the following features:
Glass door, digital temp, digital meat probe. I am leaning towards a Masterbuilt so I will follow this tread to see what those owners have to say.

    Jebb,
How often do you have to reload the wood chips on the Masterbuilt?

I’ve got a Masterbuilt with the digital time/temp. Works really well. Put chips in probably every 1.5-2.5 hours.

I have to refill about every two hours.
