Lowrance or Humminbird?

Thinking about some new electronics for my boat, I have a Lowrance 5300C that I can move from my dash to the back of my boat for trolling, getting tired of moving it back and forth so I would like to get a combo unit for the back of the boat so I can leave the 5300C on the dash. Thinking about going with the Lowrance HDS-7. What is the comparable unit in Humminbird? Down the road I would also like to replace the fish finders I have on the dash and the bow of my boat, just need a basic color fish finder and looking for suggestions, I am leaning to sticking with all Lowrance as I really like my 5300C and have had no issues with it but I am open to other opinions as well. The pics are my current set up.

HDS 5 on back, HDS 7 on dash, HDS 5 on bow, why bother with non-combo units nowadays?

hummingbird option: 798 on back and bow, 998 on dash

Those are great suggestions but out of my budget. If I could find a good deal on a used pre HDS unit with a 10″ display I could get by with the one unit on the dash and not have one in back. I do not really need GPS on the bow just a good sonar.

I’ve had both Humminbird and Lowrance. I’m going to stick with Humminbird from now on. I love my 898 bird. And am currently trying to work out some issues with one of my humminbird products…and have found nothing but trouble when dealing with their customer service reps. Just my two cents.
