Is this something to worry about?

I noticed what appears to be some grease on my prop that wasn’t there at the start of the season. I did grease the prop shaft when winterizing, but am wondering if this might be a sign of a problem. Thanks in advance!

If you over greased it, it might of expanded from the cold of winter and leaked out as some marine greases do that. Generally I wouldnt worry too much about it. Had the some thing with out boat once.

    Pretty much what Andy said.

Remember the only grease that’s down there is your lower end lube. If what your seeing is more the axle grease consistency you can rest assured it’s the grease you used on the shaft. If it’s more of the consistency of the lower end lube…might need to take a closer look.

From behind my computer, it looks OK.

Is it a 2-stroke? Might just be unburnt fuel/oil/exhaust.

Thanks for the thoughts… I’ll just keep my eye on it and my fingers crossed
