emergency stow away requiring trip to shop per warranty

My brand new Ulterra had to be emergency stowed because one of my two 12v batteries (requires 24v) died and I haven’t been able to get it to work since. I have been told by tech support that I need to have it checked out by an authorized service provider and that anytime an emergency stow away is required, a service check is advised. Unfortunately there are no authorized service shops in Utah although two are listed on Minnkota’s website. Both denied they provide authorized service.

Now I need to ship my Ulterra to Minn. Does anyone know what the cheapest/best way to ship this HEAVY motor is?

Has anyone had this problem and do I really need to lose the use of my motor for the Summer?

Beware! Make sure you have two good batteries for your Ulterra or this could happen to you.

Look for “ASC” not “ASD” next to the service provider. The ASD’s will only service the items they sold and then they probably ship it out anyway.

Don’t know what part of Utah you’re in, so check the next nearest state, I see there are a few in Colorado. Potentially drive there? Or maybe hire a courier if you don’t want to drive?

I will admit I dont know anything about your system, but I googled the link provided and thought it looked like an easy reset procedure, will this help you any??? it covers up to a 2017 model if I read it right.

if that doesnt help, contact minnkota again and plead your case like your life depended on it,sometimes you can get a tech to walk you through a problem without having to ship it to them.
if not,and its under warranty, ask them to pay the shipping both ways as you are pretty much stranded now and you are depending on them to rescue you.
you spent a lot of money on them, they owe you in my book.

yup!! sure can,go to file, hit print, laminate the paper and glue it to the underside of your ball cap !!
or,if you know a good seamstress, have her stitch the instructions in it !!
wait !! I know !! have it tattooed on your forehead so all you have to do is look in a mirror every once in a while as you are working on it,that way you never lose it !! lol
sorry,I am in a goofy mood for some reason lately.
