Here is a view from Timber Trail Lodge’s web cam on Farm Lake. As you can see it won’t be long before it starts to open up. It should be wide open for sure by May 8 for those interested in trying out the opener in Ely this year.

Cool. My wife and I have gone there the last few years in the fall. Just to stay. Haven’t fished the lake except on their shoreline.
Well next time you’re up let me know, I’ll bring my boat in to the dock and take you out for a few!
I’ll try but when I’m up there in the fall the Grouse OWN me! 
And all those fun stores in town own my wife….

One time I brought my boat up for a grouse/fish weekend in your area. The boat ended up being nothing more than a trailer for extra gear because I got Grouse fever so bad I had no desire to fish!
