Ely next week

Buddy lives up in Ely and I’m looking to do some fishing up there next week. Looking for some advice!

Bring a lifejacket, chisel, safety picks, long rope, throw cushion, and some horseshoes. Depending on how much more snow we get and the effects of this week’s weather, there’s no saying if anything will be safe. I will keep posting on the Ely forum with the best updates I can give. There are a lot of lakes for me to keep tabs on and not enough time to check them all each day, so if you do come up, have backup plans in case the lake you want to fish isn’t safe.

I was planning a trip to up there.. So hopefully it will be safe

We had some pretty good rain showers in Ely today. There was a lot of standing water on the ice. A lot of the snow was getting soaked up by the water on the ice. I don’t think there will be as much snow on the lakes as there is on the ground. We just need some cold weather!
