I have limited information so hopefully someone else can chime in with more knowledge.

They’re made by the original Thorne Bros. (Greg and Paul I believe).

Haven’t fished with one but did have the opportunity to have one in my hands for a bit. First impressions were that they are an extremely light rod in hand and seem well balanced. Handled next to the higher priced Fenwick world class that was on the rack next to it, I would have bought the Elliot hands down.

They make great rods and I like that I can buy their blanks so I can built my own. Some of the open water rods I have made from their blanks are my favorite and I have many other hi end rods that I compare them to. Zach is right about Greg Thorne. I wouldn’t hesitate on picking up one of their rods. They are top notch.

Rodwork, Does Elliot offer their ice rod blanks to the public? Have you ever been to their retail store? I was wondering if they carry the guides and reel seats in the store?

I have not been in their store but would like to make the trip one day. They don’t have their ice blanks on their web site but do have guides, sync cork, and reel seats on their web site. Since it is on their web site I am sure you can get it in the store. Until December Mud hole has free shipping on their products with no minimum purchase.

Bro in law has the Walleye Perca, and I’d say it is a great heavier pearch/mid-power walleye rod. I’m not a super big fan of the material the grip is made of, but in terms of the rod itself I really like it.

I’ve been tempted by them. Was down to either the Wally Perca or a TUCR Precision. The Elliott only has a split handle which I’m not a fan of so I went with the Precision and not a regret. I now have 3 TUCR’s and love them all. Elliott makes a fine rod I’m sure they just need to offer more handle options imo.
