Just wondering if anyone is using elite fish houses and what their likes and dislikes are.

I got one this year. The house is great it did take a year to get though. I’m pretty sure he’s got a few more guys working in the shop now. One thing I did notice after stepping into a few house this year after I got mine was how narrow the wheel wells were which gives you more room inside the house.

I’ve seen a lot of people have issues just getting their houses on the promised time frame from the company. The owner has had a pretty bad string of not delivering as promised or on time or even close to on time. the Lakestatefishing forum has a post that even included the owner lashing out at the person that purchased a house that then didn’t get it until 9 months or more after it was promised. The owner is terrible at returning calls/emails, etc. I’ve heard that the houses are really nice, but good luck with any warranty work or getting it delivered on time.

I’ve heard similar things on other posts and forums. I actually talked with the guy 3 or 4 years ago. Very nice house, but was out of my range when I was looking. Check out Ice Country fish houses he uses a galvanized frame and bolts on an aluminum structure. I’ve posted about this and plan on getting a shell from him. I’m still thinking about going all aluminum, and firebrand or blackbear fish houses would be on my list. I read somewhere that FIrebrand fish houses started after the designer left Yetti. Yetti was started from a aluminum dock company, which is how they transitioned to fish houses. From Firebrand, one of the guys left and started Blackbear. Other brands are Custom Cottage they’re similar to Elite in my opinion, if not better. He tig welds the entire house out of aluminum. Custom Cottages use a 2×6 for the main frame. Yetti uses a 3×4, Firebrand uses 2×6, Elite Premium uses 2×6, and Blackbear uses 2×8, yes, 2×8. Big Bite is another company that offers both aluminum or steel framed fish houses. Lastly, Ice Core just came out, and have one of the most advanced fish houses in terms of quality and engineering. My friend married one of the owners who started Ice Core, and they have a very different house from ANYTHING on the market. Check them out on youtube or else google search ice core fish houses. It’s def. a spendy house, but if that’s not a concern, give em a look. Down side is that they don’t make 8 ft wide models currently. I’m not sure unless I hit the lottery that I’d think about purchasing one, but they are super light and again, sort of space age trailers. Hope this is helpful.

We have one and really like it. We originally had a lodge and had issues. We had some warranty work done with Elite and it was taken care of easily. They are a well built house. PM me if you have any questions.
