Elite 5 screen

Any ideas?
It goes from regular screen to that mess on the left.

Haven’t seen that my my 5-hdi ever.

It’s worked fine for a couple of years. Funny thing is goes from regular to that with no reason

I have one of the first Elite 5’s when they were introduced,although it is not a chirp I had that screen a couple of times.
both times it was a dirty connection in the female plug not letting it ground properly.
try spraying it out and the pins in the back of the unit with electronics cleaner then put some dielectric grease on the pins.
if you find that one of the sockets in the plug is green contact lowrance about it,those are not supposed to corrode as the plating is supposed to prevent that.
they sent me a new transducer at no charge.
