Now that the holiday season is officially underway, I have to share these hilarious Elf on a Shelf memes! Elf on a Shelf wasn’t something my family did when we were kids but I enjoy seeing the creativity as an adult!

We never did elf on a shelf
Our kids did the “Flat Stanley ” thing though.
He made it to Wisconsin and their annual training/rendezvous of sorts with their first responder training crew.

It’s a relatively new tradition….based on a book from not too long ago.

Our son didn’t like Elf on a Shelf so we started hiding foil wrapped chocolate balls around the house. He named it “Balls on a Wall”.

Saw this is a local bar in one of those goofy machines you try to grab and pick.
Ended up drinking morre Beers than I expected but wasn’t leaving with out it.
It rides around in dash of my truck every holiday season since

We put ours out yesterday. Forgot to move it so we are 0/1 so far… Our kids seem to have accepted that our elf doesn’t move some days.
They don’t get super excited about it each day, but typically we do 2 or 3 really good ones per year that they have remembered for years.
I hate that damn elf! My girls were looking for it this morning, my wife forgot to hide it last night.

My youngest still has fun w it. I keep it to couple weeks B4 Xmas bc the ideas suck to come up with day after day.
Lord knows I have my devilish ways but it’s kept where it needs to be. Some of the elf creations I’ve seen online you can tell it’s no longer for the children, the parents have taken over for their own enjoyment and perverted the whole idea.
A lil extra joy in a child’s heart is never a bad thing. Plus it makes waking them up in the morning easier lol

My wife calls him the pervert ever since the kids found him in the bathroom one morning a couple years ago. He’s getting pretty cocky now. I was sitting on the couch tonight. Little nerd waltzed right through the living room!
