So my 15 year old Norelco finally died. Plan is to go buy another since well it worked that long. Figured I would see if there is anything else I should be looking at. I tend to like the 3 small rotating blades rather than the foil style.

Last year I got a cordless Norelco after my 20+ year old corded Norelco started acting up. Model 2500. It says 45 minute run time with less than 1 hour charge time. I’d say those numbers are accurate. The trimmer isn’t as good as the corded one which I kept just for that.

I would like to know, 3 blades vs foil style that now tends to be 3-4 foils plus a clipper type thing, but which gives the closer shave?

What we need is John to do half his face with a new rotating shaver and half with a good foil model for 2 weeks, posting daily photo comparisons.

This is IDO, we need to make this as complicated as possible.

I replaced my 15 year old Norleco about a year ago with a 9000 series Norleco. Great close shave, long battery life and I seldom ever use a straight razor any more. A little more spendy but well worth it to me.

Ok thanks. A little more than I was thinking of spending but if you say it works good, I will check it out.

And stay away from battery operated, get a V8 gas, no turbo.

here is one I took apart and replaced the battery after it wouldn’t charge.
and that’s been long time since I did it.
holds charge longer then when it was new..

For electrics I never found anything better than a Norelco Triple Header. About 12 years ago I switched to 3 bladed disposables. I also have a straight razor, brush, soap and strop that I like to use once in a while when I feel like taking my time.
