Eelpout (burbot) bite

    I have been hearing lots of great things about this fish and heard they were biting a few weeks ago… Does anyone know if they are still biting, and also what body of what body of water to fish for them on?

    We caught two last Sat about 20 miles out from Wheeler’s Point on LOTW so you could head over there quick and try.

    Sounds like I might give it a try up there on some points or islands. Could you tell if the eelpout where still all full of eggs or where they starting to spawn out?

    I dont know. We released both.
