    If person got a sleeper to rent what part of the lake, would a person,go to catch some ? Never caught one, but ate some and their a tasty fish . Thanks DK .

    I believe if your main goal was to catch pout, you’d go deep. Or better yet, go to leech lake. Not sure how many guys have caught any the last 5-10 plus years.

    Thanks ,I never iced fished Mille Lacs ,I just heard that there was pout in there , Leech is my best bet ? Had a fish fry ,a bud brought some pout.tasted like, Cheek Meat .

    LOTW has some dandys. And you wont have to worry about those nasty green sided fish at night for the most part

    I remember 30 years ago on Mille Lacs and every house had a stack of them frozen next to door. They were a trash fish back then. They are delicious but your best bet would be LOW for size

    My first 2 or 3 trips to mille lacs 15 years ago I caught 10-15 each time. 150 trips since, 1 or 2. I did get a few bruisers on low my one trip.
    I actually kinda miss them. Not as much as I miss the Perch…..
