Eddys resort questions?

I am looking at Eddys resort and have a few questions. They have what seems to me to be a great deal, it is a 2 night stay at the hotel with unlimited use of an ice castle for the duration of the stay. Sounds perfect, my son and I can hit the ice and my wife and daughter can hang out in the hotel when they are bored with fishing.

Here is where the questions come in. I called the marina and asked about the Ice Castles because there web site is pretty vague on everything. I asked what amenities the castles have and if there set up. The guy said there set up and drilled. That’s about all the info he knew.

So does anybody know if these are even Ice Castles or are they just the old skid style shack with Propane lights? Do they have tabs, stove, 12 volt, 120 volt captivity. I don’t care about the amenities but my wife will.

Don’t know about the ice castles, but we rented 4 of their spear houses. They are brand new, zero insulation, and a sunflower heater. Really, a sunflower heater?? Just what you want in an enclosed shack. They have some learning to do if they want to make a go of this. Ask very specific questions and hold them to it.

About 85 percent sure they’re all 6 hole 16 foot skid houses. Theyre very entry level. Classical ice house though, has everything you need to catch fish comfortably, but they’re not going to please anyone looking for a high end house. I live on the lake. I can probably answer most of your questions if you still have them

Personally I’d look elsewhere. Every nickle spent with them is a available nickle to be spent against Minnesota sportsmen. Good luck, I hope you can find a good resource on the lake. The resorts need your business.
