Has anyone run across these? I had one land on the boat last weekend. I thought it was a small stick until it moved. When I picked it up, the dang thing clicked loud and I quickly dropped it. Used a hook out to disembark him from my vessel. Pretty cool creature!

Yes, they are very cool bugs. Fun to play with. Set them on their backs and the will do an ariel flip to get off of their backs.

Cool. I’ve never seen that kind. Just the brown or solid black ones. I’d never heard of a click beetle so I looked it up. The name makes perfect sense. The larvae are called wireworms and look like a mealworm.
I think aliens have landed.
