Not doing anything special. Hopefully bringing the boat home today or tomorrow.

Your wife’s wedding anniversary? Wouldn’t that also be yours?
Happy Easter everyone!!
It’s my MIL’s birthday so instead of a relaxing Easter brunch we get to host a birthday party.
I did it again.
Having Easter dinner at my place and I went grocery shopping yesterday. Bought a bunch of chocolate stuff for Sunday. Came home and ate most of it. I’ll have to go back and replenish, but not until late Saturday.

Hah! I did the same thing. CVS has buy one get one on Cadbury and Reese’s eggs. I hid them and ate all of them. Had to make a second trip to make sure our daughter had some for the basket.

Good buddy, I was worried about you for a second there.
Does anyone know why Easter varies from year to year? Sometimes it’s in March and this year it’s like 3 weeks later. I find it odd that its not on the same Sunday each year.

First Sunday after the first full moon after spring equinox or something goody like that.
Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. Because the spring equinox is not a fixed date, and the lunar cycle is separate from the solar calendar, Easter’s date changes each year. For example, Easter in 2025 falls on April 20th.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
Spring Equinox:
The spring equinox, which marks the start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, is the basis for calculating Easter.
First Full Moon:
Easter is determined by the full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox.
First Sunday After:
Easter Sunday is then set as the first Sunday following that full moon.
Variable Dates:
Because the spring equinox and the lunar cycle don’t perfectly align with the Gregorian calendar, Easter can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25
here ya are Gim!!
Happy Easter!
Smoking some ribs and brisket tomorrow for my parents and my siblings + their families…and hopefully emptying a cooler while doing so
