East Metro – Who makes heavy equipment / tractor hydraulic hoses?

Guys, I need to find the go-to place to make a power steering line/hose for a Deere tractor. This one is a combination of a hard power steering line with flare fittings and then there is a section that transitions from hard line to a mesh-reinforced hydraulic hose between the two “hard line” sections on each end.

I believe the whole assembly will need to be remade because the crimped transition between the hard aluminum lines and the rubber hydraulic hose is soldered or brazed on. Maybe a new rubber hydraulic hose “middle section” can somehow be crimped in, but this is why I need the A-Team shop.

I’ve already had it to a chain auto parts store. The guy at the counter said that they only make hydraulic hoses and power steering “isn’t hydraulic”…

Where is the go-to shop for this kind of thing? Prefer east metro, but traveling will be quicker than waiting a week for a part.

    Many thanks.

A-1 hydraulics in Little Canada or Aspen Equipment in bloomington would be my go to places. Also Custom Hose has a mobile truck as well and fix about anything.

    Thanks guys.

Do you think any of the above-mentioned places can make a fitting like in the picture? This is the top half of the assembly. The bottom half is similar in that it transitions from a hard line to a crimp fitting and a hydraulic hose.

    Many thanks.

Hydraulic Plus & Consulting in Wyoming next to Hallberg Marine can do everything you need.

A Deere dealer should be able to make or order the parts. Might be a little pricey.

for a line that has the steel pipe at the end like that you will want to go with one from John Deere.

Yes. May not look exactly like pictured but it will serve the same function. You could even get them to put threaded connectors on so in the future you wouldn’t need to change the whole setup, just whatever’s damaged.

You got that right on the pricy part. Take a $50 part, paint it green, sell for $180 plus tax plus shipping plus handling plus stocking fee plus fee-fee…

Finally got the lower half of the hose off yesterday in a miraculous arthroscopic / keyhole surgery operating session. In case anyone out there is wondering if crowfoot wrenches really save lives, the answer is HELL YES.

Oh, and there are some wild rumors floating around about some weirdo doing a strange tribal celebratory strip dance on the hood of an old JD tractor yesterday somewhere in east-central MN. Yeah, that wasn’t me. Ignore those rumors and the video that somehow got posted, this is fake news. It never happened.

Follow up. Took part to Pirtek in the Midway.

In and out in 15 minutes. Terrific service. They built it with removable fittings on the top and bottom so the orientation of the hard fittings are adjustable.

    Deere price – $180.
    Pirtek – $89.

Thanks guys, appreciate all the recommendations. Big John lives to work another day, or at least will once I spend 4 hours putting him back together again.
