Yes bait around helps. Could be shiners but it could be all kinds of other fish. That lake is loaded all sorts of different bait fish. I have noticed much more of it on the screen the last couple years.

Oh I’m sure they do though. What finny said is so true too- TONS of baitfish out there of a million species. Look up the species list on the dnr lakemaster page for red. Amazing
