Was wondering about general location patterns from mid September to early October. Only fished summer up there and would be out of hunters point.

Are some fish still on flats or is it more structure and rock oriented?

And how early can you start rigging minnows? Thx guys

Not sure how early you can start rigging chubs/suckers but last year I did really good the last weekend in September through the second weekend in October (but that’s not really early fall). We targeted 15’-20’ rocks on main lake structure (primarily 3 mile reef).

I had the same questions as you and was thinking about trying it out in a few weeks. Water still seems too warm to try it now.

The next ten days … highs are low 70’s with overnights high 40’s/low 50’s. Water temps will start falling. Fall bite should start kicking in!
