Not a win. Double negatives make it confusing.

They use really stupid stats from Florida for there reason. Teenager’s shooting other teenager’s in the ages of 15-19. You can’t make this stuff up

“Minnesota has what’s commonly known as a “castle doctrine” provision, which allows a person to use force without retreating first if they are under threat within their own home.”

Since this is in place, why would there be a need for the bill that failed? People with a CC permit need to be pretty darned discerning about situations they may put themselves in so they aren’t faced with a case where they may need to use the gun.

I don’t have the permit so I don’t have to fret over this when I’m out and about.

I think the bill focused on duty to retreat “outside the home.”

Maybe I’m wrong though. It is confusing.

Im against any further restrictions for self defense. We have plenty of laws around its actions. We don’t need more. I think this one is aimed squarely at defending the perps. It wreaks of liberal mindset.

This was a bill to remove the duty to retreat.

Sad when they don’t feel safe in their own homes and communities. Especially at the u of m.

If you were a by standard it would be hard not to help her.

That’s actually a great video to demonstrate when you could or couldn’t retreat.

She clearly couldn’t while being attacked in the beginning.

She clearly could while chasing after them and pounding on their car.

Correct. But it seems our laws would value the criminals life before her belongings. Sadly that’s how it goes. I would hate to be put in the spot of defending 1s self, because how we value criminals in this state. Even if those kids are caught they would get a slap on the wrist and be back to violently attacking innocent people a few days later.

My son goes to the U. This happened right outside his buddies house. Don’t think anyone was home. Would have been interesting to know if any of the guys in the house would have went and helped. Can’t believe she put up the fight she did.

THis is infuriating to watch. That poor young lady. She did all the right things except maybe going back after them when they retreated and thank goodness she wasnt hurt more, but this is beyond traumatizing
70 of the 90 vehicles stolen in one WEEKEND were Kias or Hyundais?!

The kia boys are wild. You see them ripping all over half the time hanging out the windows. See it a few times a week downtown even more at our shop in Camden.

1 of 1000 reasons that the U of M is not an option for my child to go get a degree if he so chooses.
