gimruis Plymouth, MNPosts: 17448 November 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm #2300885 I already paged the Beltrami County Sheriff a couple days ago. That guy has to hate his life this time of year.
Jason Posts: 804 November 22, 2024 at 7:08 pm #2300938 I’m currently out in SD pheasant hunting and my 70lb lab (not by design) was walking on pond ice a few times today. Pretty much everything under 10 acres is froze tight. I give it 7days before people are fishing in SD/ND.

I’m of the belief if a huge lake like red isn’t completely capped off you risk the chance getting stranded on broken off ice slabs.
Nodak Posts: 119 November 24, 2024 at 1:39 pm #2301125 I definitely wouldnt go out on a windy day if the lake is not 100% locked up. Lake Superior comes to mind too.
