Wanted to askthe guys on here how busy the lakes just north of duluth would be o the 4th of July weekend (fish, rice, boulder and island lake)? Thinking of doing d a weekend getaway, but if it’s going to be ridiculously packed full of people id rather not as I’ll just end up fruatrated.
Go to whiteface I have been up a couple times and never real busy.
I was thinking ofaybe trying that one too. Will be staying at a family cabin west of two harbors so it’s the farthest ome, but I don’t mind going a little farther to get away from crowds.
You should be fine where ever you go. There is people on all those lakes in a list from busy to not busy it would go like this. Island, fish, boulder, and whiteface. Understand that most of those lakes are fairly big and you can find your own spots I bet boulder would feel the most crowded. Whiteface a lot of people go there but there is a lot of area, little finger bays, and arms so it feels like your alone.
