Duck boat and 55lb thrust

    How fast will a Minnkota endura 55lb thrust trolling motor move a 10ft duck boat? Probably about 350lb in the boat.

    plenty fast-so many buy those FF on sale 35lb ones that are fine on a small lake with no wind-55 is great; 50 would even be fine on a 10.

    My 55lb thrust Minnkota moves my 12′ jon boat fast, even with two guys. The only problem is it drains the battery quick running full speed for more than an hour. At lower speeds I can run it for hours. You should have plenty of power.
