I had a roof leak in a shed and it poured about 10 gallons of water in my Frabill flip over. The thermal panels are completely saturated. I have it set up in the Sun. Looking for the most efficient way to get this completely dried out as fast as possible. Suggestions please

Set up in garage with a dehumidifier inside and fan running moving the air. Guess that is where I would start.

Fan inside, open windows, it’ll dry.

April 3, 2019 at 10:10 am #1848024Put a heater in there on high and it’ll dry out in no time. Accelerate with fan.

This was my first thought but wouldn’t the heater promote humidity?

Yes propane creates minor moisture. The atmosphere will absorb the moisture since it is warm out & dry…vs freezing it to the shack like what happens in cold weather.

Sacrificed the boat space in the garage for the fragile. Sun and wind took care of about 60% of it. You can feel the water pooled up in the bottom of each panel. Time mix up some soapy water and wash it. Just a what I needed….more workApril 3, 2019 at 3:46 pm #1848119Sacrificed the boat space in the garage for the fragile. Add a bit of bleach to kill the mold bacteria. Block it up a bit off the floor (4×4) for air circulation and put an electric heater in it.

I agree with this.
Hot dishes dry faster than cold ones. I have to remind my wife that all the time.

Not an electric one, they dry the air out.
April 4, 2019 at 7:44 am #1848225In the past when my frabil ended up with mold. The gf had me spray it heavily with vinegar and wipe it down. No staining and the smell went away within two days.
April 4, 2019 at 9:44 am #1848278If you have water pooling up inside the layers collecting in areas it may be possible to go to a farm supply store and get an animal sized syringe and needle. you could suck the water out or maybe even use just the hollow needle to drain the water pocket.

Good idea. However, the hot dawg set at 65 and a fan blowing inside wicked most of the water out. I’ll wash it tonight and give it a couple more days yo completely dry out.
Also gives me time to think out a few mods for next yearApril 4, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1848325Good idea. However, the hot dawg set at 65 and a fan blowing inside wicked most of the water out. I’ll wash it tonight and give it a couple more days yo completely dry out.

April 4, 2019 at 4:58 pm #1848410Munchy, this one isn’t mine. I built it for a guy this last fall. I built myself a 32 x 48 with only 10′ side walls. Hate it. Way too small. I’ve built about 14 of these big boxes with up to 22′ side walls. Big enough for a loft, office, bathroom, drive through, 6″ thick heated floors….thats A shed

Just curious, how much would one of those boxes cost to build?

Smaller stripped down 50+ / we’ve been 200k+ on a few. Easy to get spend when adding bells and whistles
