Driving to Rice Lake

    Leaving tomorrow from Brandon, SD and heading to Worthington, Mn and taking Hwy 60 to 169 to 394 to 94 to 63 to Hwy 8 and then on back two-lanes to see the granddaughter, son and daughter-in-law. Just wondering about road conditions. Will be leaving around 2 on Thursday afternoon.

    The worst should be over by then. The winter storm warning is from noon today til noon Thursday. I’m guessing the roads will improve greatly once they are plowed in the morning.

    I work for polk co hwy, were not expecting much snow, and barron co about the same little or none. DK.

    I know as soon as you get into the cities on 169 you should be fine. There is no snow north of 394.
