Driving or walking on Sunday?

I know we have plenty of ice but it sounds like snow and slush are a big issue. Have lakes where I can walk to spots, should I go there? Have a Pilot with AWD and good clearance, not as good as a 4wd with meaty tires. I could even go Monday afternoon, would that be any better? Thanks, tired of snow/slush!

Wading in a river. Much better than wading on ice.

I doubt there’s any water left after yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It’s all frozen again.
Driving this weekend for sure. We will be revisiting this discussion next weekend though for sure.

That’s what we saw last Friday on Tonka. Fish stacked all day without many takers.

Is anyone going out this evening? I’m trying to decide if I should drive over to Tonka, Prior Lake, or just fish the south metro lakes near my house.

Walking-lakes still sound like they are a mess, I do not have 4wd and I am a chicken sh**. Excercise I guess is good, so I’ll hike.Should be able to drive next week then pretty soon ice will be pulling away at the access & I’ll be walking again.

Lotta guys driving on Green in Chisago today. My guess is it’s ok tomorrow and after that it’ll be too slushy.

They were driving the plowed road…probably need to stick to where there are tracks and hoof it to your spot from there.

Drove out no issues just south of 94. Easy peasy.

Driving everywhere on Chisago yesterday. At least 24” of ice. Good bite. Hoping for cold nights this week to refreeze the expected melting.
