I have a 20v brushless dewalt drill. Will that work with out killing my drill. I have a 6″ auger for my set up. How much ice is everyone able to drill before its to much. Thanks everyone

Call this guy. He has a model that will fit your auger, and he’ll talk with you with tips and recommendations. I researched a lot, and went with this one. It’s cheap($27), and I’ve used mine for 4 years now with no issues. I run an 18v DeWalt and 6″ auger and have drilled literally hundreds of holes with it. I love it; used it last weekend, drilled a dozen holes through 18″ of ice, still had battery left.
8″ of ice, I average 30+ holes per battery. 12″-16″, closer to 20. Yes, I carry a spare battery.
Bottom line, I’ve never not been able to drill all the holes I want/need. Plus, the whole thing weighs less that 10lbs, which is sweet when trying to travel light.

I use the Milwaukee fuel (2607-22) with the high capacity 4ah batteries. If you ream you’re holes as you go, you can drill over 30″ of ice.

I’d call CLAM and see about purchasing just the part (motor shaft) that replaces the drill chuck. They were kind enough to send me a motor shaft last season and that is all I use on my drill. I had a complete drill plate, but prefer just the adapter.

Yes your Dewalt will work fine. I too have the Milwaukee fuel.

The setup is the cats meow.
