Drag?

I saw something posted the other night, by a gentlemen that was talking about a tip from James Holst about checking drag after every cast. I tried to find the post so I could repost it but I could not.

My question is, can any one expand on that? I know the question is vague. I tend to keep my drag pretty light when I am pan fishing and a set it a little tighter for walleye and perch.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Tight lines gents!

On an evening out you can’t check your drag enough. Keep a shine on those heels and keep the seam on your nylons straight. Hair or wig must be kept wrandy, but not disheveled. Frequent makeup freshenings are a must. Good luck, and here’s hoping you have a fabulous evening.

PS, whether you keep it tight or keep it light, remember to keep it right, aw snap!
