Good way to get some easy target practice and they also taste great!

Dove hunting can be some of the best hunting to be had especially if you get into a good field between water hole and roost grounds.
I’ve been craving some dove poppers can’t wait! 8 more days

One of my favorites and really good practice for low flying Teal on duck opener. Stuff hollowed out jalapeno with dove breast and cream cheese, wrap in bacon and bake! Yum yum.

I wish we had huntable numbers closer to my hunting property. We just don’t have the ag crops that bring them in numbers.

I’ve hunted them in Tx but never pursued them here. If I had less things going on in my life I would but once Grouse season starts a couple weeks later that’s all I want to do with my spare time until Pheasant season begins.

I find it enjoyable, but also only have public land to hunt them at this point. Great one to take the kids out to as well.

what’s stopping you from going elsewhere? dove hunting is one of my favorite activities. it’s fairly easy and they are one of the best tasting birds I’ve ever had

does no one in mn ask for permission on private land? I’ve never been turned down for doves, most landowners don’t care at all about folks hunting them.

Am I correct that I need to have my gun plugged when hunting doves? I don’t have any big plans, but I’m going to do some preseason work with the pup this weekend, and I might as well have a gun along!

You are correct. This applies to all migratory birds including Woodcock.
