How many of you guys run these on the coon line? I am debating on trading in all my duke 1.5’s for the new Bridger 1.5 specials…..my other option I thought about was just modify them instead of switch/trade them all in instead…My question is though do you guys find the double jaw that much more of a benefit with water and dry land coon trapping vs. regular jaw traps

My #1 money making trap is a Sleepy Creek 11DJ-DLS Very close second is the Sleepy Coil 1.75.
Years ago, I learned the importance of the double long spring Vs. a single when it comes to trapping coon. I have nearly no pull-outs with a DLS. The double jaw I found to be a little more friendly on muskrats, especially front leg catches.

Over the years, I’ve been replacing them with the Sleepy Creek CS 1.75’s when targeting mink/coon. The springs are extremely stout and the holding power is exceptionally great. It is a heavy trap, so it really helps in water trapping. They are a bit on the stout side for rats.
