Don't think a flathead won't bite you – because she will (photos)

Friday evening I caught a 29 lb flathead that had already had a 15 inch sucker half way down her throat. Apparently she thought she was going to swallow that big sucker and my 7 inch sunfish all at the same time.

Her belly was also bulging – I mean for however long this girl was an eating machine.

When I went to pick her up, by her mouth, she clamped down on me. I wonder if reflexively she was thinking I was going to take that sucker from her.

The first photo is of the upper part of my hand where she had a hold of me. You cant see the underside of my hand that’s marred up as well.

The second photo is a of the sucker that she had partially swallowed.

And they always seemed so docile! Beware! )

Take some slime from her belly and rub it into your wounds. They’ll be healed in a couple days.

Channels are worse. Mangoes even worser.
