This is my buddy Jeff and his dog Remi. I think he’s around 8 months now. We did a couple quick hunts at Jeff’s place the last couple days. Sunday was warm and windy but in 45 minutes Remi flushed Jeff’s 3 bird limit. Monday was a different day with snow on the ground and temps in the teens. However Remi really shined. I got to watch him flush, mark and retrieve the last bird of the limit during our 45 minute hunt. It was great to be there. I sure miss having my own dog. I guess being Remi’s uncle will have to suffice for now.
Jeff’s place is loaded with birds now that the crops are out. I wish I could say that about other places. The fact is, numbers may be down more than what was reported.
