Just got back from S.D. hunted with the new pup and by the third day she picked up on what was going on, just like flipping a switch. For 10 months old she was trailing running pheasants and finding downed birds. I was really proud of her and our hard work we put in training. We got a lot of nice comments from our group of hunters. We brought back 107 birds for 9 Wi. hunters and 2 S.D. friends we hunt with.

Put deposit on her yesterday, picking up in 1.5 weeks! Not enough time to lock down a name though.

<font class=”post”>Ha! That is too funny. In calm water, Floyd likes to stand in the bow and let his ears flap in the wind, but if it gets even mildly choppy, he makes every effort to sit in my lap. I have yet to get a photo of it, but it must look hilarious to see a 140 lb Great Dane sitting in the lap of a guy driving a tiller boat.

Ryan, Last summer I saw a great Dane riding in a side car and wearing goggles! I almost went off the road.
This is Gerty. She’s a one year old rescue dog. Mom is aAussie Shepard and border collie and the dad is a black lab/boxer.

Love that pic. of gus and the snow goose in front of his layout blind. We are lucky to even see a snow goose in are area anymore. So when a flock of 9 geese came in one snow and 8 honkers. Both Dean Marshall and myself shot at the snow. We both missed on are 1st shot, we got him on the 2nd. And all the honkers got away. …rrr

Here’s Kirby, our hunting dog turned mommas boy. He falls asleep on the stairs waiting for my wife to come home. He really is an excellent bird dog, momma spoils him. Can’t figure out why this won’t flip, sorry.

My second lab, Stella, is going to be 1 on May 4th. She has been a good dog(for the most part) so far. We will see how the Fall goes! Also one of the my last hunt with my chocolate lab, Loomis!
