Ok new update. Goose got his 8 week shots and heartworm yesterday now he has thrown up 12 times since 10am this morning. Vet says as long as he’s not lethargic he’s fine. We’ll he sleeps all day at this age so how do you know. He runs and plays for a bit then tries to sleep and pukes. The vet he went to is gonna be no longer. The vet I wanted to get in says what we should do but won’t say what to do cause they haven’t seen him and didn’t give him his stuff so don’t know what they dosed him.

Cooper just had his shots too. He didn’t puke but did have quite a case of the runny butt. Hope Goose is better this morning. Like Hardwater mentioned if he is eating and drinking is the big thing.

Kinda dry heaved once about 330 this morning but didnt puke. I got up at 445 and sat with him til I had to leave at 7. Peed twice but didnt see him eat anything but he seemed good.

That is a move in the right direction. Hopefully the little guy is fine soon.

Our dog threw up after her first round of shots and the vet wanted her back ASAP. They gave her a shot of Benadryl and was good after that.

My previous lab, RIP, reacted to her first shots when she got 2 vaccines. Face swelled up like one of the characters on Roger Rabbit. Took her to the emergency vet and got a shot of Benadryl. All subsequent vaccines she got Benadryl before and after. No other reactions.

Lost my Boxer last September and though it felt a bit early, I wanted to get my next hunting dog while my Setter was still active (just turned 9). Picked up Gimli in January. He’s up at training for 6 weeks right now and can’t wait for our first season chasing birds. He’s a Small Munsterlander.

Nice looking dog. Hadn’t heard of that bread before, that I can recall. Looks like a bird dog for sure!

beautiful looking munsterlander! I’ve been kicking the tires on that breed for a few years now. I’ve hunted behind one before and it was a great bird dog. Absolutely love the color of yours! Where’d you get him?

Got him from Swanson Kennels out of Detroit Lakes. Needed something that can run down cripples as my Setter only points and my shooting has been sub-par lately. Hoping to get back into waterfowl again now that I have something that can reliably retrieve.

Besides shooting one where can a guy get a pheasant wing? The training scent I bought sure smells like soap and not a pheasant.

Where are you located. Either of the horse and hunt clubs would probably have a wing, or any of the pheasant farms. Wings north, places like that
