Took my youngest out fishing yesterday. He only got to lick one walleye. frown
Found a good second use for the bait well.
In the truck he was asleep before I put the truck in drive. lol

Been a rough couple weeks, lost BOTH our dogs in a span of 15 days. First one was old and ready, second was young and got cancer and started struggling to breathe. Digging a 4 foot hole in 96 degree heat on Father’s Day is not something I’ll forget.

Gonna be a while til I’m ready for a pup.

Dirty Water, that’s a tough blow. We have all had tough loses but two that close together is hard. Let you heart heal up and you will be ready for another one to steal it again.

So first, my heart goes out to those recently losing their special pups.
Enjoy the memories fellas. Gone but not forgotten.
I’ve been through it many times over the years and the hurt will fade.
And then you get another buddy.

This one may be my last. She’s 5 now so hopefully, I have a few more years.
She got a lot bigger than expected. 95 lbs of big baby.
Dottie or Dot for short. She has a black birthmark on her right thigh. My special girl now and as a pup.

Love all the pics and stories guys!!

Just keep trying Glenn. If the boat is right up to a dock, that helps.

Cody almost went in after a loon that surfaced ~20 feet from the boat.

It took a couple treats the first time, out and then Red was hooked. He now goes crazy as soon as I start getting the boat hooked up. It can almost be an issue because he will try to get a boat ride from anyone and everyone at the landing. What dog wouldn’t want to spend there evenings like this waiting for a clicker to go off!

Yes. he’s alive. Just too much fun after a long winter on the couch. He has a half gallon water bowl. But there’s something about shower water.

This is my dog. This is my dog on 4th of July drugs.. Any questions. Hated fireworks since he was a pup. Think he got bad ju-ju from our old dog. I’ve come to dread fireworks. We put him in the basement furnace room with all the basement bedrooms and bath doors shut. Radio with full base and a fan on. Slept thru the grand finally last night.

Beyond hard dealing with this, heart goes out to anyone dealing with or dealt with.. Had a jet black cat I bought as a kitten after my 1st divorce, lasted through my 2nd, and absolutely believe he hung on longer than he would while I was dealing with my ugly health issues, he knew I was knocking on life’s door. He was 19 when I knew it was past due & had to make one of life’s hardest decisions, that day was 2 months ago & it’s still a bitch in grieving.
